Reports from both public and private sectors as well as media sources convey that the threat of the COVID-19 will last at least for the next year and a half or so until a vaccine is be made available to the general population. A corona virus vaccine cannot be reasonably expected until the end of 2021, professor says (CNBC) Health and Science. The pandemic has greatly affected different industries and sectors, especially in field of health and wellness. For the multisport community, its included cancellation of races, disruption of operations both online and offline, closed borders and limitation and mobility. In order to continue experiencing triathlon and other sporting events, organizers will have to adopt new set of policies and regulations to abide by the “minimum health standards” set by the Department of Health. These standards are currently directed to the general public, hence we opted to initiate one that will cater specifically to multi-sport or triathlon events in the Philippines.
